CSA & ID FARM

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)

Welcome to our portion of the web that covers Community Supported Agriculture.  We are firm believers in the idea and active practice of CSA’s across the globe.  There are CSA‘s all across the world performing small benefits to their surrounding areas one small piece at a time.
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a farm or cooperative of local farms that grow food with or without the help of its members.  It requires help in the field for a discount on the food it produces or not.   The member pays a fee monthly to receive a portion of the harvest.  There are several formats to setting up and operating a CSA.
Some CSA’s require its members to collect the food from the farm. Yet, other CSA’s deliver to the members’ personal house or to a distribution home in the local area.
Whichever way the CSA is set up makes a difference on the overall productivity and profitability of the CSA.

Individualized Decentralized Farms (ID Farms)

Welcome to our portion of the web that covers Individualized Decentralized Farms (ID Farms).  We like ID Farms.  They empower a group of very local home growers or growing professional farming teams to synergistically work off the energy and effort of each other for maximum results in minimal areas with minimal effort.
ID Farms are farms on your yard and those of many nearby neighbors.  A professional team of farming growers or yourself and a group of others grow food in small yards in your neighborhood. The resulting food at harvest time is pooled together at a central location and redistributed much like a CSA. The excess food can be sold at a local farmers market, donated to the hungry or poor, or sold amongst members.
The major difference between a CSA and ID Farm is size of the farm.  A CSA is usually a real farm in size.  ID Farms are usually small mini-farms in many, many back yards in a neighborhood amounting to a large farm in acreage with similar results.  The information to start, operate and succeed in an ID farm is substantially different than a CSA.  Both have some commonalities, but many more differences on the operational side of the business.
The pricing for information on how to start your own ID Farm is $275 as well.
